Antivirus must be designed to protect your device from viruses. But some applications are really more destructive. Application security researcher Jan Youngren in a blog explained that this application is very popular.
"They are asking users to give many seemingly unnecessary permissions, such as knowing where to use their cameras and even using their devices without their knowledge," Youngren said at Mirror.co.uk, Sunday (11/17/2019)).
Some of these applications are free antivirus. For example, Clean Master and Security Master are downloaded more than 2 billion times. There is nothing wrong with this application that can endanger users and their valuable data.
The researchers also asked the public to find out the application they wanted to download. Users must search for well-known brands and carry out several checks to read application permissions.
